Steering Limiter

If the R1200GS falls hard it could damage the steering stop. Damaging the OEM steering stop could require to exchange the telelever arm = expensive repair. I've got Wunderlich steering limiters. These are basically two soft rubber pads on nicely machined aluminium lashes. The parts becomes the primary steering stop, hopefully protecting both the Telelever arm, front suspension sliders, and the original steering stop at the top clamp. I hope they work as advertised. Price is a horror S$ 174 / Euro 87 / US$ 112. Sure that can be done DYI much cheaper and similar efficient.

For daily riding the effect I feel is the cushioned steering stop, instead of the hard blockage, which is a good thing.






PS: Not that I think the Wunderlich parts are bad, but somehow I have the feeling the Touretech part would be even better:
