Broken Shock...Under Warranty

At 15,000 miles my rear shock blew on my 08 GSA. I had just crossed a rough rail road crossing when it occured. Initially, I was told the shock was a wear item and not covered. I was then told if it was blown then it would be covered. Should pick up today....miss my baby 8-)

Not good, but at least you'll get a fresh rear shock.

Was the rod broken, or do you mean it blew out the fluid?

It blew the oil. Picked up yesterday, It must have been going bad because the new shock feels really good. Leaving this weekend to put about 6,000 mile trip on it.

No it was not ESA. To be honest, I have talked to several large riders and all liked the ESA. One has 42,000 miles and has had no issues. If I buy another I may get ESA.
