Shocks for the 1150

After riding the 07 GS in Italy, we weren't too happy with the ride of our 02 GSA.

So, on a gamble, I installed a set of Wilbers this week. Good gamble.

The bike now rides great, corners like in a groove and on fire/gravel roads, it now is easy to ride. Gravel used to take control of the front end. No More. Steering across the center gravel pile is easy and safe.

Nice thing about the GS, shocks are easy to change.

Welcome to the club --- good to hear that you are glad with the result of the change. Which one is it? I think we need to see a pic of your GS ADV ...

1150 shocks

I have the 02 GS Adventure- Black/Yellow.

The Wilbers are the Remote pre-load with High/Low speed adjust and shock height adjuster on rear.

I will likely order the Wilbers Suspension guide to make best of High/Low.

Mods since Photo...

* Aeroflow XL Tall screen/fairing
* Hella Micro DE FOG on Euro Switch. VERY flat beam pattern. $100
* Hella FF50 driving relayed into HIGH beams. Excellent Value!!!! @$80.00
* BMW Black plastic saddle bags- full size both sides. Looks good on black bike.
* Jesse Top Box with glove box under
* Misc tank bag- magnetic from Cycle Gear- $70. Better than BMW.
* Shift extension
* Peg lowering - both .
* Remus Y-Pipe
* Custom Pipe Lowering kit to allow full size saddle bags.
* Karoke throttle lock
* Tennis racket wrap on grips.
* RAM brake and clutch resovoir mounts for GPS and RADAR
* Autocom PRO-7 intercom with inputs from:
1. GPS
2. Radar, Escort 8500
3. I-Pod
4. my wife and nava-gueser
5. future FRS radio
* Fuse block for all accessories- AUX lights, Radar, GPS, Autocom etc.
* Wilber shocks- front/rear with remote pre-load, Height adjust, and Remote High/low speed adjust.

On the way...

- Remus Revolution muffler...just like Remus and the Y-Pipe woke up the lower-mid just a little.
- LED tail light/flasher
- either custom saddle or modify stock one. Can't take more than 100 miles. Neither can wife on back.
