Crash Pads

Boxer Design offers crash pads fitting the R 1200 GS. I bought the crash pads in the colour which they call silver. I paid Euro 45 / US$ 65 / S$ 94 for the complete set be used for the shaft tunnel and front forks. Installation is a matter of three minutes. Remove the cap on the shaft housing and replace it with the crash pad. The front pads have an interconnecting bolt.

Conclusion
Of course as for most things meant for BMW's, this is too expensive considering we are talking about 3 pieces of plastic and a bolt. Probably someone with more time than me can frickle something a lot cheaper. Otherwise they are well made, easy to mount, and seem to have the right dimensions. I know from some accident pics that they can be useful.

As seen on the pics the items are actually ordinary grey colour. Buying again I'd take the black ones.
