Handgrip wraps

I wanted to dispose with the throttle rocker. To some riders it actually did some harm by making an accident situation worse. The idea was to increase the hand grip diameter. With a semi-tacky rubber and the lower force needed for holding the throttle, I thought it could help me to replace the throttle rocker.

These hand grip wraps from Boxerdesign increase the grip diameter by about 4 mm. They also dampen vibration somewhat. Yes comfort for the hands is a little better with them on. On the other side, the feel for the handle bars gets lost - drastically. I did not like that.

It was a mistake. I took the wraps off after a week of trying them, and went back to my throttle rocker. No comparison.

Grip Wraps

I have tried Grip Puppies on my 02 GSA.. They do help with vibration.

On my 07 GSA, I like the diameter of the grips, even though I have a size 12 hand. For some strange reason, the smaller diameter just seems more relaxing.

On my LT, I have tennis grip wraps and like them best. You can buy them with different thickness and the ones I use have ridges that seem comfortable.

I plan to put "friction Tape" on the 07 GSA. Not sure of the official name, but this tape is tacky on the outside. After it's worn a little, it might be just right. Also, thinking of ice hockey stick wraps.
