To Rise or Not to RISE??? The ROX Question

At 6' 5", I find the stock handlebar position too low to stand up while riding rough terrain...I ordered a set of Rox Risers today. They adjust from two pivoting positions. I used them on my Strom and served well there. So expect they will be improvement here. I will post pics later in the week or first of next week depending on when they deliver 8-)

Rox Risers

Rox Risers have been a great addition to my 2007 R1200GS. They have been installed since shortly after I got the bike. In my case, I wanted to bring the bars closer to me so my elbows would be slightly bent. A Sargent saddle has me sitting slightly farther towards the rear of the machine which forced my elbows to be locked straight. The Rox Risers solved the problem and made access to the ignition key easier too.

The only trick in installing them is to route the controls behind the top of the triple clamp instead of in front like originally routed. I supported the bike from underneath and lowered each fork tube enough to pass the cables and hydraulic hoses to a position behind the triple clamp. This was done one side at a time. Once installed, deciding just where to position the bars was the only other problem encountered.

Rox Risers are a welcome addition to my machine. Cost effective, attractive and easily installed, I like them a lot. Since installing them on my own machine, I've installed several other sets on friends' GS machines too.
Enjoy life, lower your standards.

I was told I would NOT have to reroute cables, was that a "have to" with your install? 8-)

The Rox are here...I am including a brief install overview with pics...

Here is the ROX and the tools I used to install...3/8 ratchet, extension, E10 socket,E12 socket, and 6 mm allen

here is the removal of the bars which I set forward out of the way, u can see how the lower block are adjustable

here is the first ROX going on, I found I had to rotate forward and tighten the bottom and then rotate back to desired position and tighten front
Installed...cables are tighter so I cut one plastic tie to free up brake cable

Test ride confirmed that I really like these!!! give further update with some miles....
