The battery is so small and light!. When I was unpacking it, I immediately thought about making it easy detachable and mobile. As backup, or a carry along.

Included in the packaging are a number of foam pieces for fitting the small sized lithium battery into a normal battery compartment

Height adjustment

and then the depth.

The side padding is not really needed, the clamp on my GS holds it tight enough if height and depth are about right.

The batterie came delivered with a voltage of 13.39 V, which means 90 % charged. I did not do a top up charge. My GS certainly started right away. There is a difference to my old AGM battery, you may listen to the attached Soundclip. First you do hear the R 1200 GS starting with a three y.o. freshly charged Varta AGM at 12.8 V, right thereafter the starting procedure with the Shorai as it came in the box.
