I was cruising the net for some info about HID, and found these pics. Forgot to jot down where that is from.

I am not sure if I should upgrade my Hella FF50, or the main headlight. Compared to the upgraded FF75 (above) the original BMW accessory lights do look pathetic.

What HID kits did you use?

Have you heard of any issues with dealers and warranty if we change out to HID?

I don't know yet, David. But I think I am going to use the FF 50 for this mod, not the main light. The GS eats up one bulb about every 10,000 miles, which is an issue related to vibrations. I do not like ending up somewhere remote with no spare available. As well it could get expensive with the prices for HID bulbs.

BMW personal will basically complain about any modification, AFAIK. Warranty problems would only occur if the modification caused the problem in question.

Bulbs.

Might want to look at the IPF bulbs at BestRestProducts.

I have thought of them for my BMW fog lamps. Many use them and swear by them.. $50US a pair.
