Retrofit BMW original RDC tire pressure control?

Can the original RDC (TPC) be retrofitted on a R1200 GSA Adv -08? Read somewhere that it could on some bikes, but can't find more information.

There are two version of the control unit. One is the control unit for the RDC alone, the other version contains Alarm System and RDC.

65757713340 control unit for alarm system/rdc - up to 03/2008
65757718057 control unit for alarm system/rdc - 03/2008 and above

If you bought your GS with alarm system you might have the possibility to activate the RDC.

You still need the transmitter 65752337407, or better two. I do not know if you need the tire sensors, and also not what needs to be done to activate the RDC. May be you can let us know later.

The control unit is located in the compartment below the rear seat.

Well I called my serviceshop, and it is possible, but you need to change wheels since there is special rims for bikes with rdc, apparently there is a cutout in the rims for the transmitters, so it will be a bit costly.

So Peter are you still happy with your Tire Watch system? Maybe I'll look into that system instead.

The system itself is all right. In the last time there were some voices about service issues or lacking response. Depends probably also on the country distributor.

I personally would however prefer a system which runs from the bike's power.
