Here is a nifty bracket which can be used for mounting devices removable to the handle bars.
The Cateye bracket is made from fibre enforced plastic. It looks small, but it is quite solid. I paid S$ 10, ~ US$ 6.50.
This is a device which handles the electronic road pricing in Singapore. It is a relatively big and heavy item, much bigger and heavier than a bicycle speedo. I don't need to have it permanently on my bike. It looks also unsightly.
The supplied screw incidentally fits perfect to the screw holes on the underside. I also sanded the contact surfaces, and used some epoxy to fix the adapter plate permanent.
The clamp is easily mounted to any round tube handle bar. I simply need to slide the unit into the brackets rails
Now the device can easily be unlocked by the slider knob and removed in a second. Only the small bracket will remain on the handle bars.
Simple and worth every cent!
