New Dunlop Roadsmart

According to Dunlop the Roadsmart is a sport touring tire which is designed for high mileage, without making compromises in the sportive area and wet grip. In fact they also recommend it as a touring tire for sportbikes like the GSX-R 750, the VFR or for touring bikes like the R1200RT. It is said to exceed the performance of the D 220, which it will replace. It will be available in 110/80R19 M/C 59V TL and TL 150/70R17 M/C 69V TL from April 2008.

Never met a Dunlop I liked.

My son tried them on his Enduro Race bike and they only lasted about 100 miles.

I tried the 220 on my 1100 RT and had steel core showing at 5k. Handling was very blah and not inspiring.

My new 07 GSA just came with the new Bridgestone Battle Wing. We'll see..

I think the Tourance and the Tourance XP will be hard to beat with a Dual Sport tire.

I tend to agree with you. Dunlop highlights the mileage of this new Roadsmart, so they must be aware of what you say.

And yes, I do not write the trusty Tourances off yet.
