RE: New Metzeler Tourance EXP

Leading German motorcycle magazines (MOTORRAD, MO, Motorrrad News) were invited to participate on a first impression test ride with the new EXP mounted on a GS, a Varadero, and a V-Strom (the top 3 selling adventure tourer bikes in Germany). All magazines said the tire is a clear upgrade to the trusty Tourance, first launched in 1999. They also said the EXP matches well with all three bikes.

In the German GS forums it is believed the upgraded Tourance being the first indicator of a soon to be coming upgraded GS with more hp. Metzeler states the size of the profile blocks have been increased to accommodate modern high power motorcycles better.

RE: New Metzeler Tourance EXP

Excellent comments from Germany.

Runs like in rails, provides a direct feel for the road, incredible steering precision, slightly lesser compliant than the 'old' Tourance, 100% insensitive to bitumen strips and road grooves.
