PS to the Tire Watch sensor batteries: The front sensor battery of my tire watch now as well shows 'low battery' warning in the display. The vendor data for the running time are far to optimistic (5 years). They lasted 2.5 years for me.

Tire Watch update:
- Installed in May 2007
- The front sensor triggered a low battery alarm in the display after 2,5 years of usage.
- The rear sensor triggered a low battery alarm in the display after 3 years of usage.
- Now, close to 5 years later both sensors still work on the same batteries, with the flashing 'Low' in the display.

5 years battery live is fine to me. The low battery warning certainly is too early, like after 1/2 tank getting the yellow light for "Low fuel" alarm. The cause could be quite likely a programming issue. It might be fixed on later models. Mine is an early one.
