Anakee II

Just got back from Daytona Bike week...
Had a chance to talk with Michelin Tire man and they are now shipping the new Michelin Anakee II. According to the Michelin test, it gets 29% more milleage than other tires, ie, Tourance and etc.

He stated the wet weather grip is as good or better.

Also, on the Road Pilot II there is dual compound rubber for stickier curves and better wear on the straights.

I might have to try the Anakee II next time.

I know this claim from Michelin. From reading the German forum groups so far I can not say anyone found a confirmation regarding the truth of it. However, I found the mileage of my Anakee 1 good. The Anakee 1 and the Tourance are not too dissimilar, IMO. While the Anakee is slightly more sportive and the wet grip for my riding is slightly ahead, the Tourance got even better mileage, and it is more compliant. However the most part of my Tourance experience is originating from a V-Strom DL1000. I mounted it on the GS just a few weeks ago.

Corrected.

Which Tourance did you get, the standard one or the EXP?
