unknown tool

Not sure of the name, but my Dentist uses these, usually his are the large size.

Well it must be something BMW related. I found it in the steering head area after I collected my bike from the service. I will return it to them next days, and may be they'll tell me.

Thank you Peter. Well the part number seems to give nothing away. You got me. At a wild guess I would say some sort of retaining tool. Will be interesting to see what it actually is.

What tool is this?

Peter,
While looking through the BMW Maintenance DVD, I came across the same picture. This is a tool to remove the cap on the front brake reservoir or the clutch reservoir. I believe it compresses the fingers locking the cap in place, then the cap can be removed, maybe by unscrewing it. It is called a disengagement tool, PN 31 1 511.
