Jantje, you need to use a picture address line which shows the .jpg ending. My guess is that you omitted the .jpg ending already on uploading the pics to the VSRI Gallery.

May be you want to try again, uploading the pics to the GSRI Gallery http://www.gsri.info/gallery2/main.php , but this time using a picture name that includes .jpg . Let me know if you need further help.

I am having trouble posting pics...help! Must I upload to gallery first I shrunk my pic way down but keeps sayin too large...at a loss on how to get smaller? ?(

The maximum picture size is limited to 1200 x 1200 pixels. Pictures bigger than 800 pixels will be resized automatically to 800 pixels. The file size limit is set to 1 mB per picture. (btw. exception is the avatar album, where much smaller sizes apply).

I had taken pics of the HID ballasts on my bike and how I attached them under the beak. I did it with my Blackberry so I did not think it would be such a problem. I pics with it all the time in emails... ?-(

An account with our Gallery is sufficient, which I saw you do have already. If you forgot your password let me know, I can reset it. Photo uploading and linking in the forum postings functions basically the same way as with all the internet services.

Forum admins do not like these photo services much. The picture link sooner or later breaks, and the pic is gone. For photos which are relevant for the posting it is much preferred using the Gallery. The only person who can break picture links there is me, and that is bad enough already ;-)
