Hi..just joined

Just discovered the Forum whilst searching for a solution to my System 6 visor problems!

Just on my 4th GS... started with an 1150GS, then replaced that with a 2006 1200GS which has just been replaced by a new DOHC one. Also had a '89 80GS for a while too which was fun. Impressed with the new bike...just got back from a 2,500 mile trip around Europe and am surprised how much more economical it is compared to my 2006 model.

Welcome to our small Forum and many greetings from Singapore!

With the System 6 visor problem, do you mean the visor falling down at speed, like in post no. 8 here: clicky ?

Hi Peter..... yes, the friction bar dropped out. Been back to my dealers and they say that it is a known fault and the latest helmets have been modded to prevent this and also to make the visor a closer fit when closed to stop the water leaks. So they are replacing it and a helmet has been ordered from Germany.

That is what I was aiming to. I know BMW has recognized this problem and so it seems they are responding well.

If possible let us know about the outcome, here . It will be useful information, and I hope for you a positive outcome.
