Hello from Southern Illinois

Wandered in here from Adventure Rider to take the GS poll and decided to register. Have a 2010 R1200GS 30 year anniversery model that is about 6 months old with 6500 miles on it.

My riding is mostly 250-350 mile day trips and weekend over nighters to adjioning states. All pavement. I try to get in a couple of longer trips( Lake Superior Circle,etc.) a year but being self employed makes it difficult. Was planning on a trip today but it is 30 degrees F and spitting snow this AM so I think I will stay home. I usually log about 18,000 miles a year.

Hi Bob, thanks for your participation, and also for looking in and leaving a few words!

It is a relatively quiet place here, incomparable with anything from ADVRider. A single thread there has more posts, than there are here in an entire month. But it is not my aim to have plenty members or hundreds of posts every day.

Come back whenever you have nothing else on, and if you have the time post some picks from your rides around your home area. That would be nice if more people did just that.
