Hallo from Berlin/Germany

Hi all!
I´m Thomas from Berlin, Germany and I own a R1200 GS from September 2008 with a mileage of round about 25.000 km. Now, cause the bad weathter conditions, I take a rest, but if the snow is melt and the salt is from the streats, I drive again. I drive mor or less 10.000 km per year on almost conditions. Until now I had never any problems with my beautiful BMW.
History: motorcyle licence in the age of 50, first machine a 660 ccm MZ Baghira in season 2007/8(17.000 km without any problems) and than the GS.
I hope to meat here any friends from oll over the world.
Sincerly
Thomas

Welcome Thomas

Welcome Thomas,
I’ve been to Germany a couple of times. To Frankfurt once, and to Munich, but not during Oktoberfest. That’s on my list of things to do. I also would like to see Berlin one day. I have a R1200 GSA 2009, and love it also

A welcome from Singapore, too! I can ride the year around. Only sometimes the tropical rain is so hard that riding is not possible. I am waiting for the global warming to reach Germany and then I may come back :+)

I used to ride about 15,000 km / year. After I bought the GS my annual mileage increased to 20,000 km. After someone supplied me with a tiny little worm, my annual mileage decreased to 2,000 km :( . Well, there is land in sight, the little worm is not sooo little anymore, he's 2 y.o. soon

Berlin has done a lot and is one of most beautiful and atmospheric European capitals nowadays. One day more overseas visitors will realize this, I am sure. I spoke to a number of people who stayed in Frankfurt for a few days. Some of the impressions often mentioned to me included the syringe using population when looking out of the hotel window around the railway station. Anyway, as a visiting place Frankfurt in my opinion is vastly overrated by foreigners.
