Hi from Berlin

Hi guys - just wanted to introduce myself as new member of this forum. I am currently living in Berlin and drive a R12GS TÜ (2010). Since I've recently sold my car (driving only 4,000km / year makes it pointless to waste money for a car when living in the middel of Germany's capitol) I'm currently making up my mind which second motorcycle should fill the empty space inside my garage. Hard work for the driver of a bike which could easily replace three types of motorcycle. My current favorite is a R69S. If you have any better Ideas - let me know!

When not driving around somewhere between Berlin and the Baltic See, you can find me somewhere in the Alpes above 1,500m driving circles :D

Welcome

Hello and Welcome Giovanni.
I have a 09 r1200 gsa, it would be hard to pick a second bike. But I think I would go with a Harley soft tail. It’s long and low. Pretty cool looking. 8-)

Hello JO - welcome here at this tiny place! Certainly we know eachother from the large German GS forum. Compared it's rather quiet here, but I try to keep myself and the interested members updated with some info not necessarily found everywhere. And from time to time there is a good and informative post.

BTW. As a second motorcycle I would aim at something very different to the bike I have already. I'd seriously consider a Royal Enfield Bullet, or an electrical bike. I imagine the Bullet would bring me back to the basics of all motorcycling, and probably offer enough opportunity to lay hands on. The later one because around a big city is sure a good space for riding such an electrical bike, and I think is very different fun.

If you find the time please feel free to post what you landed on ... or anything else.

Hi Peter - think, you are right. Two BMW Boxer isn't really the most exiting way to build up a nice bike fleet for all different driving moods. I'm currently thinking about a Guzzi V11, or an old Ducati. Hmmm... before i can realize my plans I have to convince my lovely wife that a second motorcyle is somhow similar to the eight pairs of her shoes that from my perspective really look the same. Anyway - the good thing is that in the meantime my GS is giving me a lot of driving pleasure. Best from Berlin JO

Guzzi is also a good idea. The V7 was smiling at me
